I am a loving wife, avid Disney fan and homeschooling mother to six elementary, pre-school and toddler aged children. As my husband and I are both self-employed, we enjoy living life on our own time, terms and schedule.
I have been homeschooling for over five years and love every minute of it. I cannot imagine being separated from my children for over eight hours each day while someone else takes on the responsibility of educating them in a classroom full of other children, where they may or may not be learning what they need to be to become successful adults.
I am currently homeschooling three children: Pumpkin is in 4th grade, Lightening is in 2nd grade and Princess is in 1st grade. A fourth child, Speed Racer, is due to start Kindergarten next fall. When he starts, it will be my first experience home educating a child who would have a IEP in a traditional school setting. He and my 5th child, Cowboy, are engaged in pre-school and K-4 programs, but nothing too formal yet.
Along with the Baby Bear and Papa Bear, that is our fun-loving homeschool clan!
